MRPeasy pricing: what it costs per user, and what a plant really pays

Every tier includes the core: production planning with drag and drop rescheduling, bills of materials, lot traceability, stock control, workforce planning and integrations with QuickBooks, Xero, Shopify and others. The tiers gate specific features rather than volume, which matters when you shop: you may be forced up two tiers for one thing you need.

These are MRPeasy's published list prices as this was written. Vendors change price lists, so confirm on their site before you budget.

The part of MRPeasy pricing that people miss is the bulk rate. Users one to ten pay the full tier rate. From the eleventh user, MRPeasy charges 79 USD per block of ten users, whatever tier you are on. A plant with 25 users on Professional pays ten seats at 69 USD, plus two blocks of ten at 79 USD, which is 848 USD a month rather than the 1,725 USD a straight per seat reading would suggest.

That rate is genuinely generous and it is the reason MRPeasy suits growing manufacturers. It also means the pricing pain is not where people expect. The expensive zone is three to ten users, which is exactly the size of plant deciding whether the operators get to see the schedule.

Read down the column you are likely to buy, not the headline rate. A six person plant on Professional pays about 5,000 USD a year. That is a reasonable number for a system that runs stock, purchasing, quality and production together. It is a poor number if what you needed was a schedule.

Shopping per user pricing means deciding, in advance, who counts as a user. Manufacturers underestimate this every time, because the obvious list is the office.

The first three are obvious and get budgeted. The last three are where the decision quietly gets made: at 69 USD a head, eight operators reporting job progress costs 552 USD a month on their own, so most plants decide the operators do not get accounts. The schedule then goes back to a printout that is wrong by Tuesday afternoon, and the actual progress data that a plan needs never arrives.

That is the real question hiding behind MRPeasy pricing. Not what a seat costs, but how many people you will end up locking out of the plan to keep the bill down.

The tiers are feature gates, so work backwards from the one feature you cannot live without.

The API gate is the one to check early. If your plan involves pushing orders in from your own system or pulling the schedule out to a dashboard, that is Unlimited, and a five person team on Unlimited is 745 USD a month. Purchase orders and supplier invoices sit outside the manufacturing system for most plants anyway, which is why accounts payable automation is usually a separate line in the budget rather than something an MRP tier covers.

There is a 30 day free trial, with no card required and no contract afterward. There is no permanently free tier. The trial is full featured, which makes it worth using properly: load your real products and routings rather than the sample data, because the sample data will not show you whether the scheduling module copes with your setup times.

Per user pricing is fair when the software is genuinely used by individuals doing individual work. A schedule is the opposite: its value comes from everyone looking at the same one. That mismatch is why some manufacturing tools price per site instead.

The per plant column is our own pricing, so read it knowing who wrote it. The honest summary is that the two models cross over on scope, not just on headcount. The common criticism is that cost rises quickly as users and modules are added. If you only need scheduling, you are paying for a lot of system you will not open.

Stay on Starter, keep logins to the office, and use the bulk rate if you pass ten users. Starter carries the core including production planning and stock control. Moving up is driven by single features such as quality control, barcodes or API access, so check which one you actually need before you upgrade the whole account.
