What Dassault publishes about DelmiaWorks pricing

No dollar figure. DelmiaWorks, the ERP and MES formerly sold as IQMS EnterpriseIQ, is now sold under the SOLIDWORKS brand, and both iqms.com and delmiaworks.com redirect there. What the vendor and the directories do say is this.

  • Pricing is quote based. ERP Research lists the starting price as not published and describes the likely model as a per user subscription scaled to concurrent users, modules and implementation scope
  • Capterra lists DelmiaWorks as contact vendor, with no free trial and no free version
  • Quotes come through Dassault and its resellers, such as GoEngineer and TriMech, who also run the implementation
  • The system is sold as one ERP plus MES for plastics, injection molding, automotive, medical and stamping, so modules such as quality, maintenance, EDI and scheduling decide how much of the platform is on the quote

If you run IQMS today, you run an older release of the same product. The pricing questions are the same, plus one more: what the move to the current release costs.

The DelmiaWorks and IQMS cost estimates you will find online

These are the ones with a source we could read ourselves. They do not agree, because they describe different plant sizes.

Source What it estimates Figure
ITQlick Subscription From 150 USD per user a month
ITQlick Implementation 20,000 to 100,000 USD
ITQlick Year one for ten users 38,000 to 198,000 USD
SoftwareConnect Subscription 250 USD per user a month, minimum of five users, over 25,000 USD a year
SelectHub Starting price 25,000 USD, billed annually
VendorBenchmark 100 to 300 users 140,000 to 380,000 USD a year
VendorBenchmark Advanced planning and scheduling add-on 35,000 to 80,000 USD
VendorBenchmark Support 20 to 24 percent of the license
GoEngineer, a Dassault reseller Rollout time Around six to eight months

Why they disagree: the low figures describe a small plant on a subscription, VendorBenchmark describes a multi plant operation with hundreds of users, and VendorBenchmark sells contract benchmarking, so its numbers lean high. The one thing every source agrees on is the shape. The bill grows with every user, implementation is priced separately, and in year one it often costs more than the subscription itself.

What actually moves a DelmiaWorks quote

Six things decide the number. Have an answer to each before the first call.

  • Users. Count everyone who needs a login, by shift, including shift leads and setup techs who only read the schedule. At 150 to 250 USD a month each, readers add up
  • Modules. Quality, preventive maintenance, EDI, MES, the shop floor screens and advanced planning and scheduling can each be on or off the quote. VendorBenchmark lists APS as an add-on of 35,000 to 80,000 USD
  • Implementation scope. Data migration from your old system, EDI connections with each OEM customer and the number of presses wired to MES all add consultant days
  • Reseller. Implementation is usually sold by the reseller, so its day rate and its estimate of days decide most of the one time cost
  • Deployment. A hosted subscription and an on premise install price differently, and on premise adds your own server and IT time
  • Existing IQMS license. An upgrade from an older IQMS release is priced differently from a new purchase, so ask for both numbers if you are on a legacy version

If the moving parts in that list are EDI feeds and MES data from the presses, a data integration platform that connects your apps and databases is worth pricing next to the reseller's integration hours.

What DelmiaWorks costs over three years, worked through

Bar chart of three year cost for ten users. DelmiaWorks 190,000 USD at 250 USD per user a month with 100,000 USD implementation, 110,000 USD at 250 USD with 20,000 USD implementation, 74,000 USD at 150 USD with 20,000 USD implementation, against ProductionPlanning.ai Plant 7,722 USD and Line 2,682 USD

Here is the arithmetic for a plant with ten users. It is a sketch from the published estimates, not a quote.

Cost line Low case Middle case High case
Basis 10 users at 150 USD a month, ITQlick 10 users at 250 USD a month, SoftwareConnect 10 users at 250 USD a month, top of ITQlick's implementation range
Year one subscription 18,000 USD 30,000 USD 30,000 USD
Implementation 20,000 USD 20,000 USD 100,000 USD
Years two and three 36,000 USD 60,000 USD 60,000 USD
Three year total 74,000 USD 110,000 USD 190,000 USD

The low and high year one figures, 38,000 and 130,000 USD, sit inside ITQlick's own range of 38,000 to 198,000 USD for ten users. An APS add-on, extra MES connections and support above the subscription push the totals up.

For a molding or machining plant of 10 to 40 people whose real complaint is that nobody knows which order will ship late, that is a lot to pay for one answer. A finite capacity scheduler on our Plant plan costs 2,574 USD a year paid yearly, so 7,722 USD over three years, with no implementation fee and unlimited users. Line, for up to 10 work centers, is 894 USD a year, or 2,682 USD over three years.

These are different purchases. DelmiaWorks runs a whole molding operation, and scheduling is one part of it. We give a smaller plant a schedule it can trust, next to the books it already keeps. Our IQMS and DelmiaWorks alternative page sets the two side by side and says plainly when DelmiaWorks is the better buy.

What to ask on the DelmiaWorks pricing call

Write these down first. They are the questions that change the number.

  • What is the price per user a month, and is there a minimum number of users
  • Do read only users, such as shift leads who only look at the schedule, need a full license
  • Which modules are in the quote, and is advanced planning and scheduling included or priced as an add-on
  • What does implementation cost, how many reseller days is that, and what does data migration from our current system add
  • What does each EDI trading partner connection cost to set up
  • If we run an older IQMS release, what does the upgrade cost against a new subscription
  • Can we see DelmiaWorks schedule our own open jobs and press list before we commit

DelmiaWorks pricing questions buyers ask

How much does DelmiaWorks cost?

Dassault does not publish DelmiaWorks pricing. ITQlick estimates from 150 USD per user a month and SoftwareConnect 250 USD per user a month with a five user minimum. Implementation runs 20,000 to 100,000 USD. For ten users, three years come to roughly 74,000 to 190,000 USD, and multi plant operations pay far more.

How much does IQMS ERP cost?

The same as DelmiaWorks, because IQMS EnterpriseIQ was renamed DelmiaWorks after Dassault bought IQMS in 2018. New buyers are quoted DelmiaWorks per user with implementation on top. Plants on an older IQMS release should ask for the upgrade price as well as the new subscription price, since the two differ.

How much does DelmiaWorks implementation cost?

Dassault does not publish it. ITQlick estimates 20,000 to 100,000 USD, and the reseller GoEngineer describes rollouts of around six to eight months. Data migration, EDI connections with each customer and MES wiring to the presses are the lines that move the figure most.

Is there a free trial of DelmiaWorks?

No. Capterra lists DelmiaWorks with no free trial and no free version. You see it in a demo run by Dassault or a reseller, usually on sample data, so ask them to load your own jobs and presses.

Is DelmiaWorks worth it for a small manufacturer?

It can be for a plastics, automotive or medical supplier that needs mold and cavity tracking, EDI, quality and traceability in one system and has a team to own a rollout of several months. For a plant of 10 to 30 people whose books already work and whose problem is late orders, an ERP license and a project are heavy.

What is a cheaper alternative to DelmiaWorks?

For a whole ERP, buyers compare DelmiaWorks with Epicor Kinetic, Global Shop Solutions, SYSPRO and ECI M1. If late orders are the problem, a dedicated scheduler is the cheaper fix: ProductionPlanning.ai costs 149 USD per plant a month with unlimited users, next to the system you already run.

Price the schedule before you price the ERP

If late orders are the problem, fix them first for a flat price per plant with the whole floor included. Start on Line at 149 USD a month, or run the demo on a sample week of orders and see where your bottleneck really is. Our pricing page lists every plan, and Epicor Kinetic pricing and Global Shop Solutions pricing work through the same arithmetic for the systems DelmiaWorks buyers most often compare. If ECI M1 is on your list too, see our ECI M1 ERP alternative page.
